The MorElectric system provides heating, cooling and accessory power, including battery charging, without idling the engine. Cat said trucks using the MarElectric technology will be equipped to accept two idling-reduction options. The first is shore power to reduce idling at truck stops, loading docks or fleet terminals where electric power plug-in facilities are available.The second option will be an onboard auxiliary power unit to provide cab comfort until shore power expands and becomes more widely available, all with an eye on reducing vehicle idling fuel consumption, emissions, and noise. Engine idling is an increasing concern throughout the engine-powered equipment markets. Specifically in the truck market, with accessories dependent on engine speed, low idle off en doesn''t provide adequate air conditioning, 12 Vd.c. electrical power or heat rejection capacity. Trucks use their cruise control to elevate the idle speed which in turn elevates the fuel consumption, emissions and noise issues.

The feature enhancements begin up-front with the new 60 Series combines. A new fore/aft tilt-frame feederhouse is standard on all machines - except the Sidehill combine. The 17-degree fore-aft-tilt-angle allows for proper positioning of the platform and insures that the cutter bar runs parallel to the ground for all tire sizes.Proper positioning of the cutterbar prevents knife guards from bulldozing or the platform from skidding on its rear frame. A simple draw bolt adjustment on the feederhouse is quick and easy and the pivot point is located in the center of the tilt frame for a proper angle to maximize the feeding of crop into the feederhouse throat.

Though light in weight, Airbor magnetic drill has a powerful 1.6-hp air motor and 1,600-lb magnetic holding strength. With its extra rack, stroke length is extended to 10 1/4 in. Annular cutter capacity is up to 2 1/16 in. diam. Geared chuck adapter converts the unit to a standard drill press. The Slugger Air Force pneumatic drill, at 24 lbs, 6 1/4" high, is useful for confined area drilling. The drill''s features include a permanent magnet that turns on or off by air power, a cutter capacity of up to 1 1/16" diameter x 3/4" depth and the ability to use ShortSlugger cutters and frame cutters. These cutters'' geometry allows the operator to drill multi-layered truck frames in a single pass.
