The engine is designed with electronic-throttle control for smooth operation, and a 180-amp alternator handles new lighting and other electronic functions. Daily maintenance is user friendly and the engine compartment is located at eye-level.Operators will also appreciate the new, larger 120-gallon fuel tank. It stores enough fuel to keep the machine working in the field all day, and the fuel fill is at ground level for ease and convenience.The all-new air system maximizes the harvest and cleaning of cotton. Airflow has been increased 20 percent to insure plenty of capacity for handling the cotton. State-of the-art aerodynamics testing was conducted to design this extremely efficient system. In-cab fan controls allow for convenient adjustment and monitoring. The CPU system features a signal line from the pump load sense controller through the power core of the valve stack to tank that is drained until a function is activated (a spool is moved). When a lift, telescoping, tilt or auxiliary spool is moved, the signal line is blocked, the pressure builds and the pump goes to its compensated setting. This signal channel is supplied with oil though a 0.035 in. orifice which connects the power core to the open center passage.Individual spools meter the required flow and pressure to the function. The pump delivers the required flow at the pump compensator pressure setting. The pump is at standby (unloaded at approximately 350 psi) when all functions are in neutral. The CPU system makes it easier to start the engine and prevents "ghost" movements when the functions are in neutral. Though light in weight, Airbor magnetic drill has a powerful 1.6-hp air motor and 1,600-lb magnetic holding strength. With its extra rack, stroke length is extended to 10 1/4 in. Annular cutter capacity is up to 2 1/16 in. diam. Geared chuck adapter converts the unit to a standard drill press. The Slugger Air Force pneumatic drill, at 24 lbs, 6 1/4" high, is useful for confined area drilling. The drill''s features include a permanent magnet that turns on or off by air power, a cutter capacity of up to 1 1/16" diameter x 3/4" depth and the ability to use ShortSlugger cutters and frame cutters. These cutters'' geometry allows the operator to drill multi-layered truck frames in a single pass.
